Today is Thursday.
Found a cute little friend (spider) in the shower today.
Watched Dr who today, then went for a short walk up to Mt Vic lookout, from where the rising moon looked like a tiny cresent of orange peel.
My friend wrote a blog post about why he is going to a missions school in Germany, so perhaps I could tell a bit of my story relating to Thailand and Burma.
When I was 11 I went with my Dad and a group from church to Yangon (which is the capital of Burma in case you were wondering) for a week and visited the Andrew Orphanage (which was in the process of being rebiult when we visited it) and a Bible college, both led by Lian Thang. Me and my dad then went on a side trip to Chang Rai in northern Thailand for a week to visit a children’s hostel there which I had been sponsoring and praying for. My parents had also been sponsoring 2 children at the Andrew orphanage. At a TSCF summer conference at the end of 2011 we were visited by a group of motorcyclists touring NZ in a tour called Big Bikes for Burma. they told those of us who were interested about the story and plight of Burma and of what the group called Partners was doing to help them. I also found out that I could do a missions trip with them.
